Sharks coach blames referee for 0-1 loss to 3SC

3SCA 46th minute goal by Jacob Ogunleye was all hosts 3SC needed at the Adamasingba Sports Complex in Ibadan on Wednesday to secure victory over visiting Sharks FC Port Harcourt.

It was a Match Day 15 fixture in the 2014/2015 Nigeria Professional Football League.

Sharks’ coach Daboere Dokubo blamed his side’s defeat on poor officiating, saying the result would have been different if the referee had been fair.

Ogunleye latched on to a through pass, sent the ball to the far post and gave the hosts the full points.

All efforts by Sharks to level the scores, including the introduction of three strikers in a row, failed to yield fruits as the hosts defence proved to be equal to the task.

Speaking after the match, Gbenga Ogunbote, the 3SC coach, attributed the victory to hard work and focus.

“I saw victory coming, based on the changes I effected in the team recently,” he said.

3SC have now played five matches in a row, since Ogunbote replaced the now sacked Franklin Howard, and are yet to record any loss.

Ogunbote was onetime coach of Sharks FC,

The coach has promised to continue the victory run, especially when the team clash with Ifeanyi Ubah FC this weekend.
