Senator Shehu Sani has supported Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, on her recent criticism of the Federal Government.
Omotola had in several tweets on Sunday described the country as ‘hellish’ under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
“The Country Under your watch is Hellish! @ProfOsinbajo @MBuhari @NGRPresident The lack of Money in circulation,Now coupled with the Continuous Assault n Killings by Uniformed men’ll make this Country implode!!!It’s Unbearable! Do something!Insecurity!Fear n Desperation everywhere,” she wrote in one tweet.
She has since been locked in a war of words with a presidential spokesman, Bashir Ahmad, over the statement.
Nonetheless, Sani who represents Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, in a tweet on Tuesday, defended Omotola saying that her “view reflects the views of millions of poor Nigerians.”
He wrote: “Omotola’s view reflects the views of millions of poor Nigerians;throwing mud on her cannot not twist the reality.”
