Former Senator, Shehu Sani, has called for a new census to be conducted in Nigeria to bring an end to estimated figures.
United Nations’ estimates puts Nigeria’s population at over 201 million.
Mr Sani who used to represent Kaduna Central at the National Assembly tweeted on Wednesday that a new census would help update the nation’s figures.
“The last national census was conducted in 2006; its high time we conduct a new census in order to update Our figures so that we can end this “about 170m, about 180m, about 200m” guesstimates,” he said.
