Senator Shehu Sani on Monday appeared to mock the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, over his 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) prediction against Nigeria.
Ayodele had predicted that the Super Eagles who have a new technical adviser, Austin Eguaveon, following the sack of German Gernot Rohr, would not win the AFCON which kicks off in Cameroon on January 9, 2022.
The clergyman had also stated that his prediction regarding the sack of Rohr came to pass.
“Before the removal of the Super Eagles coach (Gernot Rohr), I said it since July and now that they are going for the Nations Cup, Nigeria cannot win,” he said.
“They cannot lift the cup, they will only try their best but they can’t succeed because they will be eased out technically.”
However, Sani in a tweet noted that Ayodele only predicted that Nigeria would not win, but failed to state who the winners would be.
He said, “My Brother Primate Ayodele prophesied that Super Eagles will not win AFCON but refused to prophesy which country will win.”
Ayodele is known for making such predictions across board.
