Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday graced the wedding of Muktar Shagaya, son of Kwara-born businesswoman Bola Shagaya, in Lagos.
Muktar married his long-time lover Ayotola Odebiyi at a traditional ceremony at Harbour Point Event Centre.
On arrival, the vice president was welcomed by the parents of the bride and groom and politicians.
Shettima shook hands with everyone on the high table before taking his seat.
Also present at the wedding were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke; Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; former governor of Cross River Donald Duke; Senator Gbenga Daniel; Toyin Saraki; and Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.
Others present were businessman Kessington Adebutu; Zenith Bank MD/CEO, Adaora Umeoji; Senator Solomon Adeola; Ogun State first lady, Bamidele Abiodun; Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Iyalode of Lagos, Bintu Tinubu; socialite Ekua Abudu; and Pastor Ituah Ighodalo.
Amosun’s wife Olufunso officiated the cutting of the cake as the lovebirds beamed with smiles.
A reception will be held in Abuja on July 12.
