Presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi on Thursday, December 8 attended Shiloh 2022, the biggest programme of the year at Faith Tabernacle, Ota, Ogun State.
The annual programme began on Tuesday, December 6 and will be concluded on Sunday, December 11.
Faith Tabernacle is the headquarters of Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners Chapel under the leadership of Bishop David Oyedepo.
The crowd at the programme gave Mr Obi a standing ovation when he was introduced by one of the church’s leaders Bishop David Abioye.
No sooner had Abioye said a presidential candidate was present at the programme than the crowd stood in ovation.
The clergyman pleaded with the congregants to maintain silence.
“Let’s have some silence. Please be seated everybody, please stay organised as winners in the house,” he begged.
Obi visited Oyedepo in July in the wake of the former’s 61st birthday.
On Sunday, December 4, Obi got a rousing ovation at the Rhema Deliverance Mission in Lagos State.
The congregants cheered heartily as Obi was introduced by Pastor Anene Nwachukwu.
The former Anambra State governor remained in Lagos after attending the popular music concert The Experience held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS).
Music artistes such as Travis Greene, Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, Donnie McClurkin, Sinach, Eben, Tope Alabi among others ministered at the concert.
There were wild cheers from the crowd at the concert as soon as Obi was introduced.
Since becoming the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party, Obi has attended several religious programmes where large crowds are gathered.
In August, he was at the 70th annual convention of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) held at the Redemption Camp on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
