Singer and songwriter, Simi, has queried up and coming artists for sending songs to her mother.
The 31-year-old singer shared a screenshot of a chat with her mother in an Instagram post on Monday.
In the chat, her mother asked her to listen to the song on an artist who had been disturbing her for a year.
Captioning the picture, she wrote, “Why y’all sending songs to my mommy? 😂😂😂.”
Last Wednesday, Simi had called for better protection of Nigerian women and girls from physical abuse and rape.
Simi’s comments followed a video which was published on Tuesday of Senator Elisha Abbo assaulting a nursing mother at an adult toy shop in Abuja.
Public outcry had also accompanied rape allegations against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).
