Taking to Instagram on Friday, Simi announced the album’s release with a playful video.
“Hey, are you still sleeping? Wake up,” she began, switching to Yoruba with “Oya Dide,” meaning “Wake up.”
She continued, “My album is out. ‘Lost and Found’ is out now. Don’t sleep on it, wake up on it. Are you hearing me? Go and stream, stream, stream.”
Whatever platform you listen to music on, it’s there. Go, stream my album and save it on your phones so that even if you don’t have internet…” Her mother then interrupted her, prompting Simi to ask her to encourage everyone to stream the new album.
“Please stream ‘Lost and Found,’ we love you,” her mother said, blowing a kiss.
