Singer, Simi, has pulled a light joke on her husband, Adekunle
Gold, over his Ikotun background as they celebrate their one year wedding
anniversary.
She said in a post on Instagram on Monday that nothing was perfect but that she loves the way he deliberately works at being a better husband.
“I love how you’re mindful of me. Nothing’s perfect.
Not even with your Ikotun background 🤦🏾♀️ – but I love how you deliberately
want to be better,” she said.
Adekunle Gold also expressed his love for his wife,
saying he was lucky to be able to love her forever.
“1 year in and I can’t even begin to say how blessed I
am that it’s you I am doing this love something with. You amuse me, you make me
laugh, hard, you are so beautiful, I am lucky I get to love you forever. 🥂 Here’s to more beautiful
memories together, doing great exploits and living our lives on our terms. Love
you forever babe,” he said.
Simi and Adekunle Gold got married in a closely-guarded
wedding last January.
They had their white wedding at the popular Ilashe
beach in Lagos as a private ceremony devoid of the usual paparazzi that
surrounds celebrity weddings.
About 300 guests were reported to have attended the wedding.
