Adejare, daughter of music stars Adekunle Gold and Simi, has expressed her unwavering love for the United States.

A video shared on Simi’s Snapchat on Saturday captured the family of three returning to the US, with Deja (as she is popularly known) exuberantly declaring her affection for the country and promising never to leave.

“Thank God we’re in America! I love America! I would never leave America! Oh, I miss you! I would never leave you, America! I miss you Chick-fil-A, I miss you library, I miss you swimming class, I miss you gym!” She said.

Deja shouted at the top of her lungs, clearly demonstrating how much she had missed the country.

Simi and Adekunle Gold couldn’t contain their laughter as their daughter spoke.

Adekunle Gold, amused by Deja’s enthusiasm, playfully asked his wife in Yoruba, “Where did you see this girl?”

QEDNG reported that Simi, earlier this month, vented her frustration at being misinterpreted after her interview on the podcast Zero Conditions.

Taking to her X account, she expressed her anger, saying: “I’m deading that shit immediately. I said I don’t listen to music. I don’t know songs. If I wasn’t me, I wouldn’t know my songs, and if I wasn’t with my man, I probably wouldn’t know his either because I don’t listen to anything.

“I hate doing these stupid interviews sometimes because they don’t care about supporting you. They will either lie or post things out of context so people can pile on you. I hate wicked people.”

In a subsequent post, she clarified, “And I said this in response to a question in an interview.”
