Mother of X3M Music singer, Simi, ended 2017 with the revelation that she would be getting married in the first month of 2018.
The widow, who runs a daycare centre, revealed this during the Crossover Service at Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos on December 31.
A retiree, Simi’s mum has been attending the church pastored by Sam Adeyemi for 20 years in spite of the general belief that Daystar is for young people.
Her daughter on Monday posted pictures of the two of them on Instagram with the caption “Have a happy happy happy happy new year. I love you. Cheers”.
In an interview published by sunnewsonline.com in December, Simi said she is very close to her mum.
“She’s my biggest supporter, she prays for me, and there is almost nothing I cannot tell her. She’s always watching out for me, we are friends.
“I don’t tell her everything but I tell her most things. Even while growing up we never really had secrets, she never shut me down even when I had an opinion. I think that’s one of the reasons why I was never timid as a child because she always let me talk, the 29-year-old said.
