Four unknown gunmen have kidnapped the son of a member of Governor Seriake Dickson’s cabinet.
Antonio, 6, son of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Water Resources, Nengi Talbot, was kidnapped on Sunday when gunmen stormed his father’s residence at the Commissioners’ Quarters in Yenagoa.

No contact had been made with the family at press time.
Bayelsa police spokesperson, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident on Monday.
According to him, the gang stormed the commissioner’s apartment at 11:30 pm on Sunday and left with the boy.

“The command has launched a manhunt to rescue the victim and arrest the suspects. An investigation is ongoing,” Butswat said.
