Soldiers have invaded the Daily Trust head office in the Jabi area of Abuja, taking away computers, laptops and other properties from the newsroom.
The paper also reported on Sunday that soldiers and policemen had invaded its Lagos office.
The newspaper’s regional office in Maiduguri, Borno State, had earlier been shut down by armed soldiers.
Regional editor, Uthman Abubakar, and a reporter, Ibrahim Sawab, were arrested on Sunday during the raid in Maiduguri.
It was gathered that the military’s action might be connected with the lead story of Daily Trust on Sunday on military operations in the North East.
The paper had reported that the military plans to reclaim Baga and other communities taken over by Boko Haram some weeks ago.
The military authorities had earlier claimed that no territory was being occupied by the insurgents.
A witness at the Borno office said that the soldiers requested to see Daily Trust’s politics editor, Hamza Idris, whose byeline appeared on the story.
