Socialite and entrepreneur Sophia Onyeuka, better known as Sophie Couture, has passed away.
The announcement of her death was made on her official Instagram page on Wednesday. The post did not reveal the exact time or cause of her death.

More than a leader, she was the heart and soul of this brand, infusing every design, decision, and moment with her boundless passion, creativity, and unwavering dedication. Her extraordinary vision and relentless pursuit of excellence shaped Sophie Couture into what it is today.
“Beyond her remarkable achievements, Sophie’s kindness, warmth, and infectious spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her memory will continue to inspire us, guiding us as we honor her dreams and carry her vision forward.
“During this time of profound grief, we kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this loss. Your love and support mean the world to Sophie, and we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of kindness during this difficult time.

Sophia Onyeuka was a graduate of banking and finance from Imo State University and hailed from Ndokwa East Local Government Area in Delta State.
She founded Sophie Couture while working with Mediterranean Shipping and GAC Shipping Nigeria Ltd. Her fashion brand grew to establish outlets in Lekki and Surulere, with plans for expansion to other parts of Nigeria.
Her last Instagram post was on February 21.
