Family and friends of David Imoh, the sound engineer who was lynched by commercial motorcyclists aka Okada riders in Lagos, have buried his remains.
Mr Imoh was set ablaze on Admiralty Way in Lekki area of Lagos on May 12. The motorcyclists punched on him when he tried to intervene in a scuffle over N100 between his colleague and a motorcyclist.
The incident has since forced the state government to ban Okada in six local government areas and on highways.
Imoh was buried on Friday at the Atan Cemetery in Yaba.
A service of songs was held in his honour on Thursday at the Church of God Mission International in Victoria Island, Lagos.
During the service, the deceased was described as a diligent and committed person.
Imoh is survived by his wife Grace, two children, mother and relatives. The engineer and his wife had been married for nine years.
The state government has assured that justice will be done as several suspects are in police custody.
