Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday described the late rapper Sound Sultan as a role model to many in the entertainment industry.
Atiku stated this in a post on social media hours after the rapper’s death was announced by his family.
The former number two citizen also described Sound Sultan born Olanrewaju Fasasi as a devout man of faith and family.
“In the short time Olanrewaju Fasasi, fondly known as Sound Sultan, spent on this side of the divide, he was a role model to many in the world of entertainment. May the devout man of faith and family Rest In Peace. I pray Allah SWT comforts his bereaved family and friends. Amen,” said Atiku.
Sound Sultan died at the age of 44 after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.
The disease is a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which is a group of related malignancies (cancers) that affect the lymphatic system (lymphomas).
He is survived by his wife Farida, three children and his siblings.
