Founder of UK-based Salvation Proclaimer Ministries Limited aka SPAC Nation, Tobi Adegboyega, says he will be appealing the decision of a UK High Court to shut down his church over alleged financial mismanagement and lack of transparency.
The church, according to a statement published on the UK government website on June 17, was wound up “after failing to properly account for more than £1.87 million of outgoings and operating with a lack of transparency” in the High Court on June 9, 2022 before Judge Burton.
However, in a video posted to his Instagram page on Sunday, Adegboyega said, “It is impossible to be perfect in account filing for God’s sake. We will challenge decision but the church of God cannot be stopped. The church is a people.
“We have given all the documents that are necessary. We have operated by the highest standards of transparency for the past 17 years and you cannot do extremely and perfectly right, especially when the system doesn’t want you.”
The fashionable cleric noted that the youth of the church are resolute in spreading the gospel regardless.
The statement by the UK government further said, “The company remains subject of a statutory inquiry by the Charity Commission, who are examining financial, governance and safeguarding matters at the charity.”
Adegboyega stepped down as head pastor in 2020 after SPAC Nation rebranded as Nxtion Family.
