Ghanaian singer Stonebwoy on Saturday night led prayers for Davido’s late son Ifeanyi Adeleke during his performance at the 2022 Qatar World Cup fans’ festival.
The singer had earlier posted a video of himself, Davido and others having fun at an event ahead of their performances.
While performing at the festival, Stonebwoy asked football fans to say a prayer for Davido and his son.
“For the son of David, tonight everybody put your hand up for the son. May all who have lost souls be filled with strength, may God guide and protect everybody who have lost a son, their mum, brother or sister or father,” he said.
Davido was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony but could not make it due to the shocking death of his son.
The 30-year-old, who collaborated with fellow artistes Trinidad Cardona and Aisha on the World Cup soundtrack ‘Better Together’, will be performing at the closing of the tournament on December 18.
