Pop musician, Simi, has told those involved in advance fee fraud popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo to desist from buying her songs or watching her videos.
The 30-year-old singer said this in an Instagram live session on Friday.
A fan challenged her telling her that Yahoo boys were the ones buying her songs on digital platforms and watching her videos on YouTube.
In response, Simi said that if buying her music was a way of rationalising crime, they should not purchase her songs anymore.
She said that it was wrong to glorify something (fraud) that was wrong.
The ‘Tiff’ singer added that Nigerians need to change their mindset about Yahoo boys if we want the world to see us in a different light.
Simi is set to release her third studio album ‘Omo Charlie Champagne’ on April 19.
The release date will coincide with her 31st birthday.
