Nigerians have expressed angst towards the rehabilitation of Boko Haram insurgents amid the killing of a leader of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Lawan Andimi.
Mr Andimi was killed on Monday after being kidnapped from his village early January.
President Muhammadu Buhari said on Tuesday that his administration was in talks with the group on Andimi’s possible release before the killing occurred.
The President vowed that the insurgents would ‘pay a heavy price’ for their actions.
Nigerians have appeared unimpressed, calling for decisive actions against the insurgents.
