Director of Operation, Oyo State Fire Service Adeleke Ismail has said personal property such as television and air conditioner sets were destroyed in the fire that engulfed the home of activist Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho on Tuesday morning.
Mr Ismail told journalists that no life was lost in the incident which occurred at Soka, Ibadan.
He confirmed that fire fighters from the Oyo State Fire Service arrived in the scene few hours after the incident was reported to the station and quelled the inferno.
Sunday Igboho recently gave a seven-day ultimatum to herders in Ibarapa axis of Oyo State to leave the area.
He alleged that herders have been responsible for the killings and kidnapping of the residents of Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa.
But Governor Seyi Makinde insisted that the herders were not responsible for the insecurity.
Sunday Igboho later arrived Igangan community in Ibarapa on January 22 to force the herders out, resulting in a clash in the community.
