Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun, might have only started one game with William Troost-Ekong in the heart of Nigeria’s defence but it appears the Mainz 05 defender is already fond of his new defensive partner.
Both players only switched nationalities in 2014 having represented Germany and the Netherlands at youth levels.
But the pair is already flourishing with the Eagles evidently was in the 3-1 victory over Algeria in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
Their remarkable display in that encounter earned them plaudits from many soccer enthusiasts such that they are now described as “OyiboWall”.
Balogun who will definitely be in action when his club travel to FC Augsburg in the German Bundesliga on Saturday hasn’t stopped recalling his experience alongside the Gent man.
The 28-year-old has constantly taken to social media platform, Twitter, to hail his new bond with Troost-Ekong.
