Despite the hectic football season, Super Eagles players still created time to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence.
The West African nation marked her 58th anniversary of self-rule on Monday.
In the forefront is the team’s skipper, Mikel Obi, and deputy skipper, Ahmed Musa.
Today is a day that represents freedom, equality and unity. I stand proud to be a Nigerian and on this day of our independence. I want to salute all my fellow Nigerias in honour of this great day. The trio is almost certain to make Gernot Rohr’s squad for the double-header Africa Cup of Nation qualifiers against Libya.
The Super Eagles are currently third of the group with three points behind Libya and South Africa on four apiece.
