Super Eagles stars were all over social media to celebrate the career of former teammate, Carl Ikeme.
Ikeme, 32, quit the game on Friday due to acute leukaemia.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers hero racked up just 10 appearances for Nigeria yet it was apparently enough to win the current Eagles over.
Here’s how some of his former international teammates reacted to his retirement.
It was an honour to have shared the dressing room with you Carl, You’re such a wonderful guy and a fighter. I’m wishing you all the best in retirement bro. Enjoy every minute of it. 👏🏾 @Carl_Ikeme pic.twitter.com/otKPlvWVSO

Ikeme made 274 domestic career appearances in all competitions, with over 200 of them coming for Wolves, the club he joined in 2000 as a 14-year-old.
The stopper went on to win two promotions, and 10 international caps for Nigeria.
Ikeme said: “Speaking to the doctor, he said I should retire, just because the treatment and the toll it’s taken on my body.
“I can’t really risk trying to come back, I just want to be here for my children and family and friends.
“It’s difficult when you look back at the things you’ve gone through in your football career but in the grand scheme of things with your life in danger, it’s the minimum price to pay to have a life with my family.”
