Czech Republic assistant coach, Miroslav Koubek, has warned his players that the Super Eagles will be dangerous opponents ahead of Wednesday’s international friendly between the two nations.
Koubek has highlighted that the strikers are quick and they carry a threat when they launch counter-attacks, adding that seven players with Premier League experience are the individual stars in the team.
”The Nigerian team has been playing for a long time and is very good at playing and they play smart football, they are athletes, strong physically but well organized, influenced by the German coach (Gernot Rohr),” Koubek told Czech magazine Tyden.
”They have something to aim for because they have really good players in the offensive, whether Victor Moses, John Obi Mikel, who plays in ten, Alex Iwobi of Arsenal, Leicester guys Kelechi Iheanacho and defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
”Other strikers, Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa, are the stars of the team.”
The Czech Republic were beaten 4-0 by Australia in their last friendly, while their next opponents lost 2-1 to England at Wembley three days ago.
