Super Eagles midfielder, Victor Moses, on Monday, marked his 26th birthday.
As expected, several football-loving Nigerians as well Chelsea supporters were on hand to bestow goodwill messages on the former Wigan ace.
Numerous fans trooped to social media to hail the impact of the player who has been exceptional for both club and country.
As it is the tradition with footballers, it was expected that Moses’ will receive loads of tributes from his Super Eagles teammates.
But shockingly, none of such happened with virtually all apparently neglecting him.
Super Eagles skipper, Mikel Obi, who is also Moses’ club mate at Chelsea, failed to acknowledge birthday despite the news being all over the club’s website and social media platforms.
Premier League based quartet of Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Ahmed Musa apparently went blank on that day.
Twitter crazy trio, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu and Brown Ideye, simply ignored him in favour of their respective club’s Europa League draws.
The likes of Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun, Elderson Echiejile, Carl Ikeme and William Troost-Ekong also didn’t do any better.
However, it turned out that this birthday was probably Moses’ best yet due to the uncountable messages he received from fans.
And he made sure he them on Twitter.
Thank you for all of your birthday wishes I really appreciate it ??
