For a player who dedicated the last six years to his country, the expectation was that Victor Moses would receive massive praise from Super Eagles teammates.
However, instead, there’s been utter silence from his colleagues after the Chelsea midfielder announced he was drawing the curtain on his short but glittering career.
Moses announced this on Wednesday via social media.
The ex-Wigan star was influential as the country clinched a third Africa Cup of Nations in 2013 and played key roles at two World Cup finals.
Overall, Moses garnered 37 caps and quit at just 27.
Of all his international teammates, only Ahmed Musa has reacted to the Blues star’s decision.
The former Leicester City winger said he was privileged to have played alongside Moses and wished him well in future endeavours.
It was a pleasure to play alongside such a great player. You have served your nation well and will always be remembered. Good luck in all you do🇳🇬🦅🙏@VictorMoses pic.twitter.com/b7gVutJf7T
