Newly appointed Super Falcons coach, Florence Omagbemi, has called up 40 players to execute the African Women Championship qualifier against either Senegal or Guinea.
The seven-time continental champions were handed a bye in the first round of games and must defeat the winner of the clash between the West Africans over two legs in April.
Omagbemi, a four-time African champion during her playing days as skipper, alongside her team comprising the likes of Perpetua Nkwocha and Ann Chiejine, selected the strongest possible squad for the encounter.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) official website, Liverpool striker, Asisat Oshoala, will be making a return to the Falcons after a long injury spell.
Apart from the former African Women’s Footballer of the Year, strike partners, Desire Oparanozie and Francisca Ordega, were also invited.
There were also spots for skipper Evelyn Nwabuoku, France-based Ngozi Ebere, as well as goalkeeper, Ibubeleye Whyte.
All invited players are expected to report at Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye, Abuja on Tuesday.
The biennial football showpiece is billed for Cameroon from November 19 to December 3 later in the year.
