The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the election of Yahaya Bello as Kogi State governor.
In a unanimous judgment, the seven-man panel led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Ibrahim Tanko dismissed the appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the election, Musa Wada.
The lead judgement was written by Justice John Okoro and read by Justice Uwani Aji.
The apex court held that the appeal lacked merit.
The tribunal and the Court of Appeal had also ruled in favour of Bello.
