Swiss youngster, Nishan Burkart, is set to sign for Manchester United, according to the player’s father.
After failing to agree terms on a deal to stay at FC Zurich, the young striker will move to Old Trafford in the summer, a statement by the 16-year-old’s father, Stefan Burkart, affirmed.
“We have decided to leave the club in the summer. Nishan switches to Manchester United. He just has different ideas; that’s what business is like.” the senior Burkart told Swiss media outlet, Blick.
FC Zurich President, Ancilo Canepa, also confirmed the player’s intentions to move abroad and insists that they will not feature him for the rest of the season.
“The family has decided to move their son to Manchester United,” Canepa said. “Therefore we’ve decided not to use the player.
“We are concerned with planning the squad for next season. We want to make a place available to a player who will play here next season.”
The statement looks derisory to the youngster’s father and he felt it was unfair.
“We would have liked a more dignified exit. It makes us feel as though we’ve offended someone.
“But he doesn’t suffer any more. He is looking forward to Manchester United,” Stefan declared.
