Comedian, Sydney Egere, popularly known as Sydney Talker, has released his coronavirus test result.
The 24-year-old shared a picture of the result on Twitter on Thursday, confirming that he does not have the disease.
He tweeted, “My test results just got in from Lagos State Ministry of Health and thankfully it is negative.”
He also addressed claims that the whole issue had been a prank, writing, “To those who felt this was a prank or clout chasing, I have just one question ‘Why would I chase clout at the expense of my life?’.”
The Edo-native had on Saturday accused the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) of denying him the coronavirus test even though he was showing symptoms of the disease.
He was finally tested after sharing his experience on social media.
Nigerians then took to Twitter on Wednesday to demand that he release his test result amidst suspicions that he had set up the whole thing as a publicity stunt.
