Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari for not addressing Nigerians over the coronavirus pandemic.
The 24-year-old shared her opinion in a video she posted on Instagram on Friday.
“…Seems like we as Nigerians we are forgetting who we are…Look at us, getting addressed from Twitter…Did we vote for our president from Twitter? And everybody is just sitting down like it’s normal. The average Nigerian works on a daily basis…Yet we want to have a lockdown…What will people eat? Speak to the people that voted you in not a Twitter handler..,” she said.
President Buhari has been widely criticised for failing to address the nation on the coronavirus pandemic, choosing instead to speak through his media aides.
A video which appeared to show the President addressing the issue for the first time was shared on social media on Sunday by his Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad.
The video was deleted shortly after for unknown reasons.
