BBNaija star Tacha Akide has expressed frustration over the behaviour of some Nigerians in the UK, criticising their habit of filming her in public without acknowledging her presence.
Tacha, who recently moved to the UK, shared her disappointment on social media on Sunday, saying she was surprised by how Nigerians interacted with her abroad.
She noted that despite encountering several Nigerians throughout the day, none took the time to exchange pleasantries.
Instead, they focused on recording her with their phones, a practice she found disrespectful.
“You guys will not believe I saw so many Nigerians today, which was great. But the crazy part was that you’re seeing me, and you cannot even say ‘Hi.’ I can’t begin to count how many white people saw me and said I looked beautiful today.
“The Nigerians that saw me today—what came into their heads was to record me with their phone. I am not begging you to say ‘Hi,’ but if you’re not going to say ‘Hi,’ don’t record me,” she lamented.
Tacha gained fame as a housemate on the fourth season of Big Brother Naija in 2019 and has since built a brand as an influencer, entrepreneur and media personality.
