Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi has earned a bachelor’s degree in business management at the Buckinghamshire New University, United Kingdom.
Awoniyi recently joined newly promoted English Premier League side Nottingham Forest from Union Berlin in a reported club record transfer fee of £17 million.
The 24-year-old told NationSport that he was happy to have earned the degree while still playing football.
“I’m happy to also inform you that I’ve just finished a degree programme in business management at Buckinghamshire New University and my graduation is next month,” he said.
Two years ago, he got a diploma in business and marketing management from London School of International Business.
Awoniyi joins an impressive list of high-profile persons that have passed through the 131-year-old university.
Other notable alumni of the university include English actor cum comedian and musician, Noel Fielding; English field hockey player Chloe Rogers; and British paralympian, Naomi Riches.
