Actress Tana Adelana has made a brief comment about the character she played in filmmaker Kunle Afolayan’s Netflix hit Ijogbon.
Ijogbon premiered at the Imax Cinema in Lagos on Thursday, October 12 with the likes of Sola Sobowale, Femi Adebayo, Tunde Kelani, Ruby Akubueze, Funky Mallam, Aisha Lawal and Tana in attendance.
On Monday, Tana who plays Mama Oby, mother of one of the lead characters named Oby, played by Ruby Akubueze shared a scene from the movie where her character who is an Igbo woman was having difficulties communicating in Yoruba.
The video was first posted by fashion expert Princewill Urum who made jest of Tana saying, “Tana, hello ma, what is this Yoruba you are speaking?”

Reposting the video, Tana responded saying, “It’s called Igbo-Yoruba, you people should just leave Mama Oby alone.”
