Businesswoman Tara Durotoye and senior editor, CNN Africa Stephanie Busari have shared videos from the 40th wedding anniversary celebration of media personalities Soni and Betty Irabor.
The couple on Tuesday held an occasion in Lagos where they renewed their marital vows.
Among those present were Mrs Durotoye and her husband Fela Durotoye, Mrs Busari, actors Segun Arinze and Ramsey Nouah; and media personality Linda Ikeji among others.
Stand-up comedian Bovi was the MC for the day. Musician Waje sang for the couple at the event.
On Wednesday, Durotoye shared on Instagram a video from the event.
She wrote, “40yrs!!!40yrs!!!The 40th Wedding anniversary of The Irabors is no joke!
“Fela & I are truly inspired by the friendship, love and Commitment they have exemplified in their union.
“In 2007, we were honoured to join their 25th wedding anniversary celebrations at the La Scala restaurant, Muson Centre.
“Yesterday, we joined family and friends to witness them renew their vows as they celebrate 40 years of matrimony.
“They have never been shy to share their struggles as a couple but also the joy of doing life together in the mountains and the valleys.”

Busari captioned her Instagram post, “What a beautiful and joyous occasion it was to celebrate the Irabors. It was a gorgeous ceremony and everyone brought their fashion A game. It is Aunty Betty after all and we all know what a fashionista she is. There was so much love in the room and everyone was so happy to be there and sharing in their vow renewals.
“I love how they hold space for one another. Their easy companionship and friendship. Like @son_irabor said in her speech, they actually seem to LIKE each other. Love is important but liking the person and what they stand for is extremely important too.
“Sustaining this over 40 years is not easy but they make it look effortless. Love you both so much @bettyirabor @iraborsoni. God bless you. May you live long and prosper.”
Mr Irabor, 71, and Mrs Irabor, 66, have two children.
