Actress Tawa Ajisefini has joined in appealing for financial assistance for her colleague Tope Osoba who recently underwent successful breast cancer surgery.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, Tawa expressed her sorrow over Tope’s ordeal and wished her a speedy recovery.
She also called on the public to extend their support.
“Temitope, I am sorry to see you go through all of this. I wish you a very quick recovery,” Tawa wrote.
“Oo ni balo olorun, alaafia a toh e. Fans, please, Tope needs you. We all need your help with her surgery e jor. No amount is too small.”
Tawa’s plea follows a similar call for assistance made last week by fellow actress Foluke Daramola.
Foluke took to Instagram to ask Nigerians for help after Tope was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She initially posted a video showing Tope’s affected breast, carefully avoiding revealing her identity, but stressing the urgency of the situation.
On Friday, Foluke posted a follow-up video, this time revealing Tope’s face and expressing gratitude to those who had donated.
She explained that while the surgery had been paid for, additional funds were still needed for post-surgery care.
“Behold the face of the colleague I told you all about.
“She has undergone surgery, and while we didn’t receive much, we are grateful for every contribution. Her family members came together, allowing us to cover the surgery costs. But we still need your support for aftercare,” Foluke captioned the video.
