Apostle John Chi, a disciple of the late Prophet TB Joshua, has countered the BBC documentary which was critical of his mentor, saying he was a father to all.
Amid the allegations made by several persons in the documentary, John Chi shared a video from his archive on Instagram on Tuesday, January 9.
In the video, he recalled how Joshua changed his life when they first met in 1999.
He said, “When we first met in 1999 he did not hesitate to adopt me as one of his children. He caused me to forget my unworthy background. Prophet TB Joshua impacted my life and changed me.
“He picked me from a mere builder to a prayer warrior, to an evangelist. He sent me to preach to many branches in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. He later elevated me to the position of wiseman which means greater responsibilities.”
John Chi said that when he became an apostle and founded the Ark of God Covenant Ministry (AGCOM) Joshua did not stop playing the role of mentor.

Contrary to what the BBC documentary portrayed, John Chi said Joshua taught his disciples “to be kind, to love, to forgive and to be humble.”
Speaking further, he said, “Few days before he went to be with the Lord, he called my wife and I and encouraged us to stand firm and to remain steadfast in the faith as we have been doing.”
The Cameroonian thanked God for Joshua’s life and reaffirmed that the Ondo-born televangelist remains his mentor even in death.
