A disciple of the late Prophet TB Joshua, Chris Tonge, fondly called Brother Chris, has wedded another disciple of Joshua, Allison, in Cali, Colombia.
The couple held a colourful outdoor wedding in the presence of family and close friends on Sunday, September 18.
One of Joshua’s right-hand men, wiseman Racine Bousso, also witnessed the occasion and was among the officiating ministers of the day. Racine is Chris’ in-law. He is married to his sister, Ruth.
Chris and his wife shared some photos of the wedding on Monday night on the Instagram page of their ministry, God’s Heart TV.
They said, “We are happy to share with you the first set of pictures from the Wedding Blessing of Chris and Allison on Sunday 18th September 2022 in Cali, Colombia.”
The post also quoted Matthew 19:5-6, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
The couple added, “When you give your best to God, He will save the best for you. Love is truly beautiful in God’s time!'”
Chris also shared the photos on his personal Instagram page with similar words.
Chris and his Colombian wife met at a crusade held by Joshua in the South American country. Allison was one of the translators at the crusade, Chris revealed in a video posted to YouTube on August 15.
He said, “We actually met each other about 8 years ago, June 2014 at the crusade that Prophet TB Joshua held in Cali, Colombia, where she served as a translator. Amazingly, she was actually one of those who translated for me from English into Spanish during that crusade.”
He added that Allison put her education aside to serve at the SCOAN.
