Some disciples of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua, have held back from giving birthday wishes to the second daughter of their mentor, Promise Joshua.
Promise clocked 25 on July 1, 2022 but was not widely celebrated on social media by Joshua’s closest disciples. However, one of those who did was Justin Reese.
Reese took to Instagram to post pictures of Promise, praying for the mercy and goodness of God on her.
He wrote, “Happy birthday to Promise Joshua. (TB Joshua biological child). May the Lord’s goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life as you dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen.”
Reese was in Nigeria last month for the first anniversary of Joshua’s death. He also shared pictures of his time in SCOAN with Joshua’s former wisemen, stating it was great to be back home.
After being called out by the leader of SCOAN, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, some of the disciples distanced themselves from the church.
Although she did not mention names, it is believed that she was talking to the senior members of the church who left after her husband’s death.
Despite the clash between the former senior members and Evelyn, quite a number of them still owe allegiance to Joshua, and also call Evelyn mummy.
Some of them have founded their own missions and are following the footsteps of the late televangelist.
At the time of filing this report, no other close disciple of the late cleric had publicly celebrated his daughter, Promise.
