Two months after Prophet Racine Busso and Evangelist Ruth Tonge, former senior members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations SCOAN, got married, the couple has not said a word concerning their ministry.
Racine, one of five former wisemen of the late Prophet TB Joshua, founder of SCOAN, tied the knot with Ruth in a private ceremony in the UK on February 14, Valentine’s Day.
Speaking about their union in a message posted on their website and their only social media platform, the interracial couple said quote, “We have learned a big lesson: God’s kind of love is not reasonable; it springs spontaneously, unpretentiously from the true fountain of love.”
There have been indications that the couple is in the UK but they have neither confirmed this publicly nor have they spoken about what their next ministerial assignment will be following their exit from SCOAN.
Ruth was a prominent member of SCOAN, rising to become an evangelist whose duties included delivering sermons and prayer ministrations. She came to the church with her parents Gary and Fiona Tonge, and her brother Christopher Tonge. The family served Joshua in different capacities for almost two decades until Joshua died on June 5, 2021.
Ruth left shortly after Joshua’s widow Pastor Evelyn emerged leader amid reports that some disciples of the church’s late founder were being persecuted.
Racine, however, stayed behind to help stabilise the church during the period. The Senegalese has not been seen at SCOAN since January 9, 2022, and the church and its leader have been quiet about him and his wife.
Pastor Evelyn was also not seen at Racine’s wedding although an invitation, which QEDTV got hold of, was sent to her by the couple.
