Prophet Racine, one of five wise men of the late Prophet TB Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), shared the podium with the church’s new leader Pastor Evelyn Joshua on Sunday, December 19.
Racine joined Joshua’s widow Evelyn in leading the mass prayer session.
“Pour your heart to Jesus, as Hannah did at Shiloh,” he prayed.
Racine also said the prayer for the nations before leading the church in saying the grace, a prayer said to mark the end of service.
Racine and four other wise men – Harry, Daniel, John Chi and Christopher – were also present at the church for its reunion and thanksgiving service on December 5. It was the first time in nearly two years the church was reopening since it was shut by Joshua in 2020 due to COVID-19 enforced closure.
Many had believed one of the five wise men would succeed Joshua as leader of the church as they featured prominently in the church’s activities when Joshua was alive.
Some of the church’s worshippers expressed joy at seeing Racine share the stage with their new leader.
A Facebook user Sharron Shalom said, “My heart jumped with so much joy to see you, humble son of our father prophet to Joshua. God bless you.”
James Kasera said, “I’m overwhelmed with joy to see you Prophet Racine back in SCOAN. Thank You Jesus Christ for You will never leave us alone.”
Sharon Shine prayed that everyone who left the church during the leadership crisis would return.
“I have missed you all, I pray that they all come back because Scoan is where they started and they promised to serve the God of Prophet TB Joshua till their last breath, dear God please bring back the rest, Amen,” she wrote.
Christopher CHibwe said, “I’m happy to see you Prophet Racine on the altar of all nations, mummy you are a blessing.”
