Nigerian comedy kingpin Alibaba joined other friends and well-wishers to celebrate fellow comedian Tunde Adewale, popularly known as Tee A, as he clocked 44 on Wednesday.
In a message posted on Instagram, the man born Alleluya Akpobome recounted how he and the celebrant contributed to building the Nigerian comedy industry.
He also revealed that the University of Lagos graduate introduced him to the Agege bread and Agoyin beans combo.
“We researched, marketed, explored and strategized together. You were a priceless assistant. Manager. Chef. Confidant.Partner in crime. Driver. Fashion consultant. Jokes reviewer and critic.
A comedian, broadcaster and master of ceremony, Tee A has been on the scene for two decades.
He re-invented stand-up comedy in Nigeria with his one-man Live ‘N’ Naked show which ran for more than seven years.
The show sold out in places like Lagos, Abuja and London.
He also launched a TV show called Tyme Out with Tee A.
Other who like him passed through the Alibaba school of comedy include Basketmouth, Teju Babyface, AY Makun, Bovi and Jedi.
