Teenage actress Uche Treasure has shown her first-ever award from the Nollywood Travel Film Festival to veteran actor Nkem Owoh.
The award, received in Florence, Italy, recognised her ‘outstanding performance’ as a child actor.
In the video posted on Tuesday on her Instagram page, Treasure expressed her gratitude and excitement to Nkem.
She stated, “I got this award earlier last month. I’ve not posted it anywhere before but I was just waiting. I wanted to present it to an elder first. Now that I am privileged to be on the same set with you sir, I would like you to please pray for me and pray over this award.
“I want this to be the least award. This is like my first award ever, and I got it in Italy.”
Uche knelt before Nkem so he could pray for her.
Her Instagram caption further conveyed her joy and appreciation.
“I got my first ever award in ITALY a while back and it is with immense joy in my heart that I say thank you to everyone that has one way or the other contributed to bringing me this far!
“It is the way you all rate me that gave me the privilege of being recognized abroad by @nollywoodtravelfestival! Thank you.”
The Nollywood Travel Film Festival, which awarded Uche, celebrates the achievements of Nollywood actors and filmmakers on the international stage, highlighting the global impact of Nigerian cinema.
