Tega Oghenejobo appointed president/COO of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records

Music producer Don Jazzy has announced Tega Oghenejobo as the new president and chief operating officer (COO) of his record label, Mavin Records.

Don Jazzy shared the news on his Instagram page on Tuesday, posting pictures of himself with Tega to celebrate the appointment.

He expressed pride in Oghenejobo’s expanded role, saying, “I’m proud to announce Tega’s expanded role as President and COO of Mavin.

“While I am often praised for discovering and nurturing superstars, I can confidently say the most genius move I’ve made was recognizing Tega’s passion and resilience.”

He continued by acknowledging Oghenejobo’s impact on the label, noting, “From the early days, I’ve seen him delve into the business, build teams, develop executives, and create sustainable careers for our talents.

“His commitment to Mavin and African music has been relentless, and I’m certain that with him in this role, we’ll continue to achieve remarkable milestones for our artists and the company. Congratulations, @tegamavin.”

Mavin Records also made the announcement on its official Instagram page, stating, “We are thrilled to announce Tega Oghenejobo as the President and COO of Mavin Global. This expanded leadership role reflects Tega’s significant contributions to our growth and his pivotal role in our strategic future.”

The post highlighted Mavin’s commitment to expanding its global reach and developing its roster of talented artistes.

Mavin Records was founded on May 8, 2012, following the closure of Mo’ Hits Records.

Since then, it has grown to become one of Africa’s leading record labels, representing artistes such as Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe, Magixx, Boy Spice, Bayanni and Lifesize Teddy.
