Comedian Teju Babyface and Fuji maestro K1 de Ultimate were among those who attended the 83rd birthday thanksgiving service of veteran musician Ebenezer Obey.
Teju, who relocated to the United States with his family, returned to Nigeria to celebrate the veteran musician.
The event was held on Thursday at Decross Gospel Mission, Headquarters of Praise, Lagos.
Obey had earlier shared a flier of the thanksgiving on his Instagram Story before the event.
Videos from City People’s Instagram page captured moments from the occasion, including K1 de Ultimate eulogizing the celebrant as guests danced.
The Fuji star was also seen exchanging pleasantries with Teju.
Teju posted a picture from the event on Instagram, writing, “All the way for Evangelist Prof. Ebenezer Obey’s 83rd. Baba calls, and we respond thrice @ebenezerobeymfr @olaosundemilade #happybirthday.”
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was also in attendance.
The service featured performances from gospel singers such as Adelakun Ayewa, Esther Igbekele, Laolu Gbenjo, Bidemi Olaoba and Kent Edunjobi.
