Afro-pop sensation, Teni, has joined her older sister, Niniola, in remembering her father, Simeon Apata, 24 years after his death.
The 25-year-old singer eulogised her father in an Instagram post of lengthy text on Tuesday.
“Hey daddy your little girl ain’t so little anymore, yah girl is going on tour, yah little Teni is now MAKANAKI, I wish you were here to hear people sing my songs word for word.
“They thought killing you was the end, but we only just started, we are taking this to the 🌎.
“And yes I did it, I graduated from the university. I’m working really hard to make you smile wherever you are,” the Afro-pop singer wrote in part.
Niniola had made an emotional eulogy to her late father earlier on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old called him her “Bestfriend” in her lengthy caption.
Retired Brigadier-General Simeon Apata was assassinated on January 8, 1995.
He was the founder of Apata Memorial School, an elite military-style private boarding school in Lagos, founded in 1980.
Niniola and Teniola attended the school.
