Singer and songwriter Teni Apata has paid a surprise visit to her alma mater, Apata Memorial High School in Lagos, founded by her late father, Brigadier-General Simeon Apata.
Teni shared a video on Instagram on Monday documenting the visit.
The clip began with her in a car, expressing excitement about surprising the students. Another part showed her collecting the school’s uniform and changing into it before making her way to the students, who screamed in excitement upon seeing her.
During the visit, the singer engaged the students in a singing competition featuring her newly released song, ‘Money.’ She further thrilled them by announcing that she would cover the first-year university tuition at Babcock University for one of the students.
She captioned the video, “VISITED MY DAD’S SCHOOL / ALMA MATER

Teni has been actively promoting ‘Money.’
Last week, she surprised a local herbs seller, taking her shopping, treating her to a spa session and gifting her one million naira.
On Saturday, she shared another video showing how she surprised a fan who sang ‘Money’ by showing up with provisions and dashing her bundles of naira notes.
She captioned that post, “MOMMY MADE MY VALENTINE PLEASE SUPPORT HER BUSINESS
Money.”
Founded in 1980, Apata Memorial High School is known for its academic excellence and extracurricular activities.
The institution has produced notable alumni, including Teni and her sister, Niniola.
