We salute the exemplary leadership of the Ọyọ State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for his sagacity in overseeing the selection process.
His wisdom has ensured that this revered institution, the highest traditional Ọbaship in Yoruba history, remains in the capable hands of a leader who embodies the values and traditions of the kingdom.
To all sons and daughters of Ọyọ, at home and abroad, this is a clarion call.
Let us rally around the Alaafin, embracing him with unwavering loyalty and providing the support that his esteemed office deserves.

As the Yoruba proverb states, Aji ṣe bi Ọyọ la ri, Ọyọ o ki nṣe bi baba enikan. Ọyọ leads; it does not follow. Let us uphold this spirit and ensure that the Alaafin’s reign heralds unparalleled unity, progress, and prosperity.
