The Third Mainland Bridge, which was closed on Thursday for investigative maintenance test will be reopened by 5pm on Sunday (today), seven hours ahead of schedule.
It was originally scheduled to be reopened by midnight.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, Dr Taiwo Salaam, said the decision to reopen the bridge earlier than announced followed the completion of the test by engineers.
The Lagos State Government, which announced the temporary closure in partnership with the Federal Government, also thanked motorists and residents for their cooperation and patience while the closure lasted.
